I attended the Luminato music festival this weekend in an attempt to break the most number of guitars playing one song together. It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon at Dundas Square where 1650 guitarist gathered to play Neil Young's Helpless song in unison. Myself and Careersport owner Jeff Baldock each participated playing the song with Canadians young and old to the sound of a traditional made in Canada tune. It was peaceful, serene and historic event as we were surrounded by thousands of guitars waving in the air in attempt to set a new world record. Unfortunately, Toronto did not break that record, and we will have to try it again. The record is 1850 guitars
However it was a true testament to the social fabric of Canada, where so many people from so many demographics could unite with music and play a classic song in the outdoors together.
You gotta dig it.
