Desotos Jazz & Blues Open Mic- Featured Artist Steve Rome

Thursday nights is open mic Jazz and Blues time at Desotos Eatery www.desotos.ca. This is the night when all the interesting cats from all around the globe come out. Musicians from everywhere come to share their new sounds, and some more seasoned musicians come to show us the way. Some are office workers, some are movers, and some are lawyers. But for one moment in time, they are all one, connecting to create the best sound groove possible.

Last night we had Erica from Tokyo Japan on drums and Koshi on keyboards playing some smooth Jazz. The band leader Anthony is always warm and gracious as he makes sure we all get a chance to perform. However one of my favorite musicians is Steve Rome of the Cossroads Blues Band www.crossroadsbluesband.ca. A harp player,  and vocalist  I can appreciate his journey in music. However his ability to sing Jazz and blues and lead the band is what I appreciate the most.
