Lazer Lloyd - Israel's King of the Blues

I had the pleasure to attend Lazer Lloyd's www.lazerlloyd.com first appearance in Canada, courtesy of Berel's Blues and the Toronto Blues Society, at the Cadillac Lounge. I did not know what to expect from an American Universtiy trained musician who emigrated to Israel and became religious after singing with Rabbi Shlomo Carlbach.

Lazer's mucic is the real deal as he tells his story of his quest for artificail highs and finds spiritual highs through his observance of a Shabbat meal overlooking the Dead Sea.
Lazer has great vocal variety, superb guitar skill and a cool mixture of soul which mixes well with the mississipi blues. His lyrics reflect his judaic voyage, but his sound is that of the deep south mixed with Southern Rock.

Stay tuned as we may bring him back for a special event on August 31, 2014.

Well worth the experience to hear this artist.
