Hump Day Blues - Suzie Vinnick Artist

A new venue for Toronto blues audiophiles has been initiated by the Toronto Blues Society. Every Wednesday Hump Day Blues will be happening at the Jazz Bistro www.jazzbistro.ca located at 251 Victoria Street. The location is next to the Senator, just behind Dundas Square. The Bistro provides a warm and intimate setting to listen to and really appreciate the artists. There is a central stage and table seating all around making it ideal for a dinner and entertainment experience.

This week was Suzie Vinnick www.suzievinnick.com a wonderfully talented guitarist and singer song writer. Originally from Saskatoon, she now lives in the Niagara Region and sings a wide range of classic blues from a variety of her influences, such as Ellen Mcilway, Ricky Lee Jones, and Big Mama Thorton. She has an encyclopedia knowledge of classic blues artists and has a very rich and soulful sound to her acoustic blues.

Suzie is charming and friendly as she explains how each song was derived and the writers and influences that made it happen. The background to each song made it like travelling down the blues highway with her in an old Ford truck and feeling the blues. The intimate setting of the Jazz Bistro made it even more enchanting.

For a listing of the upcoming blues talent every Wednesday check out www.torontobluessociety.com
