Upcoming Events - Soyonara Summer at Alleycatz

It has been a beautiful hot summer for 2016. In fact July 2016 has been the hottest month in global history. A serious concern for adventure travelers and climate change advocates such as myself. While we learn to appreciate the changes in our environment it is a great time to be inside in an air conditioned environment and enjoy good music and dance with friends. In order to celebrate the end of this hottest summer in the city we have coordinated Soyonara  Summer event for August 31 at Alleycatz.

We will have Mark "Bird" Stafford bird stafford and Ken Yoshioka playing great live blues starting at 7:00 pm . Then we will be joined by TOwestcoast www.towestcoast.com and  instructor Julie Epplett will take to the dance floor at the half time to teach an intro to West Coast Swing. Afterwards there will be blues jammers to take to the stage to perform a wide selection of blues music that meet the 98 beats per second tempo required for West Coast Swing. The dancers will be swinging as long as there is the right beat.

Break out your blue suede shoes, or pull out your harp, sax, guitar  or whatever and join the jam. A night of fun and community. A small $5.00 cover will apply for the event.
