Free Fall Sundays at The Supermarket- Kensington Market

I attended the open mic "free fall" session at Supermarket at 268 Augusta in the Kensinton Market of Toronto last night. A young crowd of artist were there to do 2 songs from their latest repetoire. Supermarket offers the ability to record an mp3 file, or video to download onto you tube with high quality production. They have a full line of instruments, sound equipment etc. to use. However, yo must sign up early, or you will only get a spot at 3:00 am the following day. You can purchase original CD's from new artists or t-shirts to support them.

Ther were some pros in the crowd as well (ie Don Mclean), who were generous enough to share their knowledge of sound engineering with the younger artists. A very warm and sharing environment throughout the evening.

This is a great way to support our up and coming Canadian artists and feel the vibe of the Toronto music scene, deep in Kensington market.

Definitely, worth checking out on a Sunday night.
