The Tranzac Club www.tranzac.org is Toronto's Australian/New Zealand social club. The center showcases a mixture of eclectic art shows, musicians and sundry urban events. This weekend and for the next 3 weeks is their annual Christmas gift show and sale. A collection of unique products marketed by Canadian entrepreneurs offers a wide display of unique choices. I had the pleasure to meet with the owner of Mamma Ocaeania soap and discuss the history behind this home made soap brand. Anna created her recipe, and produces the product by herself. The soaps come in a variety of flavours, from pineapple to pomegranate to cucumber. They say you are what you eat, We may also be what we spread on our skin. Check out www.mammaoceania.com. This is just one example of the artistic talent that sell at the Tranzac show.
What I particularly enjoyed was the vibrant entrepreneurial spirit of these new business owners. Very refreshing psychology. For an interesting bohemian shopping experience with eclectic musicians check out the Tranzac club on Brunswick, south of Bloor. It is a blast into the another hemisphere.
